Overland Park ? Free State’s Sam Skwarlo placed second in the 170-pound weight class, and the Firbirds’ wrestling team took sixth among 15 schools Saturday at the Shawnee Mission South Invitational.

Quailan Fowler took third in the 113-pound class, and Colton Steele was third at 170.

Cameron Shanks (106) and Tyler Sampson (285) placed fifth, and James Wensel (126) and Maurice Jacobs (132) took sixth.

Firebirds wrestlers will compete again on Saturday at Shawnee Mission East.
