The 86th Academy Awards are coming up quickly, and this year Lawrence.com and Liberty Hall have teamed up to bring you an Oscar contest that could win you free passes to movies, concessions and free movie rentals.

To enter, head over to the Beat the Critic contest page, register and fill out your ballot of who who you think will take home Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards. Your ballot won’t be finalized until Oscar night, 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 2.

Lawrence Journal-World and Scene Stealers movie critic Eric Melin will be filling out his ballot, too, and you can check out his picks later this week on Lawrence.com and in the A&E section of the Lawrence Journal-World. Whoever can “beat the critic” by getting the most points from accurately picking the winners will win a prize package of movie tickets, rentals and concessions from our friends at Liberty Hall.
