A 33-year-old Lawrence man was booked into Douglas County Jail early Wednesday morning on suspicion of aggravated battery and obstructing a legal process.

Eric Lewis Siegfreid was arrested at 2:20 a.m. after officers responded to a disturbance between two men in the 4500 block of Overland Drive.

According to Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman, Siegfreid struck the other man and, when informed by officers that he was under arrest, began struggling with police.
