Two Topeka women recovering from Monday crash in Douglas County

Two Topeka women are recovering after being hospitalized from a one-vehicle crash in Douglas County Monday, according to a spokeswoman for Stormont-Vail HealthCare.

Ena Yazzie, 40, is in satisfactory condition while Ella Yazzie, 69, has been treated and released, Tami Motley of Stormont-Vail said. They were the vehicle’s only occupants.

The crash occurred on the 1600 block of North 50 Road in western Douglas County. According to a crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, the vehicle, a 1999 Chevy Blazer, left the roadway twice and rolled over several times, coming to rest in a ditch.
