2 earthquakes rock different parts of Oklahoma

? A pair of earthquakes have been reported in different parts of Oklahoma.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the first magnitude 3.0 earthquake was recorded at about 11:13 a.m. Friday in Alfalfa County northeast of Cherokee, less than 15 miles south of the Kansas border. It was recorded at a depth of about three miles.

The second temblor, a magnitude 2.9, was recorded shortly after noon in Logan County about three miles south of Guthrie and 30 miles north of Oklahoma City. The quake occurred at a depth of about six miles.

Authorities say no injuries or damage has been reported following the temblors.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by humans and that damage is not likely from quakes of below magnitude 4.0.
