The Lawrence Police Department is searching for a teen who went missing around Thanksgiving.

Jeremiah Boldridge, 15, of Lawrence, who goes by the name of Jay, was last seen Nov. 26, according to a Facebook group set up after his disappearance.

Sgt. Troy Squire, a spokesperson for the LPD, said police at this time do not believe Boldridge is in danger. The Facebook group says Boldridge packed his clothes and left overnight in an attempt to run away.

Squire said Boldridge is 5-foot-8 and weighs 145 pounds. Boldridge was last seen wearing a dark-blue “North Carolina” hoodie with dark blue jeans and red tennis shoes, Squire said.

Those with information regarding Boldridge’s disappearance are asked to call the LPD at 785-832-7509 or CrimeStoppers at 785-843-TIPS (8477). Calls made to CrimeStoppers can be made anonymously.

“We would appreciate a phone call if someone is aware of his whereabouts,” Squire said.
