40 years ago: KU students protest increase in football, basketball ticket prices

From the Lawrence Daily Journal-World for April 24, 1974:

A resolution asking Kansas University Athletic Director Clyde Walker to resign was placed on the Student Senate agenda this week by the Senate Executive Committee. The resolution had been prompted by objections from the student body over an increase in student season football and basketball ticket prices for the following year. Tickets in 1974 were $6.50 for football and $5.50 for basketball, but the prices were to be raised to $15 and $13, respectively.
