A Kansas University football player was suspended Monday after a weekend incident involving campus police.

KU wide receiver Mark Thomas was arrested Sunday and released on Monday with no charges filed, according to the Douglas County district attorney’s office.

KU Associate Athletic Director Jim Marchiony said Thomas has been suspended indefinitely.

Thomas, a 6-foot, 208-pound junior from Brooklyn, N.Y., red-shirted during the 2013 season after two seasons at Nassau Community College in New York.
