Fort Collins, Colo. ? Kansas University’s Ben Welle carded a final-round 2-under 68 to lead the KU men’s golf team to an eighth-place finish Tuesday at the 15-team Ram Master Invitational.

Welle, who shot a three-round score of 4-over 214, tied for 15th place. Kansas’ Logan Philley (tied-24th place, 217) was the only other KU player to finish in the top 25.

The Jayhawks compete next at the Badger Invitational on Sept. 29 in Madison, Wis.
