Baldwin City ? Baker University’s undefeated football team jumped seven spots to No. 8 in this week’s NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 poll announced Monday.

Baker beat then-No. 18 Ottawa, 25-24, on Sept. 7, then edged St. Mary, 41-40, Saturday.

BU is the highest-ranked of the four Heart of America Athletic Conference schools. It is the highest ranking for Baker since 1999.
