To the editor:

I’m so disappointed in the Journal-World sports writers for not giving Tommy Morrison the respect of a decent acknowledgement in his passing. The AP article that was printed was less than respectful. Sure,Tommy had his ups and downs, but who hasn’t? Focusing on his personal demons was not what I call a respectful article for one of the most devastating punchers in the fight game.

Tommy was an adopted Kansas son. He was courteous enough to talk to me at Bally’s where he worked out and even to respond to a couple of my Facebook messages. Instead, the media still focuses on his other issues. Unless you can walk on water, then cast the first stone. A fan forever. RIP brother.
