Kansas University part of nationwide town hall meeting to discuss U.S.-China relations

The Kansas University Center for East Asian Studies is holding a live webcast of a nationwide town hall meeting addressing the relationship between the U.S. and China.

The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations is broadcasting the town hall to more than 60 cities nationwide. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will explain the dynamic between the two countries and answer questions from the audiences.

The webcast will be projected in Alderson Auditorium at the Kansas Union on Monday starting at 6 p.m.

After the webcast, Dru Gladney, an anthropology professor at Pomona College, will deliver a presentation titled, “Ethnic Conflict in Western China.” This is expected to begin at 6:45 p.m.
