Haskell runner wins 5K race

? Talisa Budder won the women’s 5K race to help Haskell Indian Nations University women’s cross county team place second at the Bo Boucek Invitational on Friday at Pomona Lake.

Budder won in 20:30. Teammate Tiare Little Head was third in 21:27 and Samantha Taylor fifth in 21:48. Ottawa won the team title with 32 points, and HINU was second with 39. Longview Community College as third with 50.

HINU also placed second in the men’s 8K race with 51 points. Ottawa won with 27, and the Kansas University club team was third with 52.

Chad Upshaw placed second in 28:48 to pace the Haskell men, and Tony McCabe was fourth in 29:06.
