Veritas falls in 54-6 rout

Mark Weinhold’s one-yard run in the first quarter was all the scoring for Veritas Christian School in a 54-6 high school football loss to Topeka Cair Paravel on Friday night at The Eagles’ Nest.

The game was called with approximately 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter because of a 45-point rule.

“They’re good. They’re very good,” Veritas coach Blake Mudd said of Cair Paravel. “They beat us in all facets of the game tonight.”

Veritas (3-4) will play Friday at St. Mary’s Academy.
