Seabury drops 11-man debut

? Bishop Seabury Academy received a rude introduction to 11-man football on Saturday.

The Seahawks, who normally play 8-man football, suffered a 52-16 loss at Wentworth Military Academy.

“Our kids played very well for this being an 8-man outfit in our first 11-man game,” Seabury coach Aaron Combs said. “The kids handled it well, and we look forward to more of these games in the future.”

Joe Simpson completed four of 10 passes for 95 yards, with a touchdown and interception.

Patrick Gutierrez had 10 rushes for 86 yards and a touchdown, and he caught a pass for a 42-yard score.

Harley Holub had two receptions for 33 yards, Charlie Arnold had a catch for 12 yards and Austin Gaumer a reception for eight yards for Seabury (1-4).
