Kansas women sign three in 2014 class

The Kansas University women’s basketball program received three letters of intent on the first day of the early signing period, KU coach Bonnie Henrickson announced Wednesday.

Joining the Jayhawks next season will be: Lauren Aldridge, a 5-foot-7 point guard from Marshfield High in Marshfield, Mo.; Terriell Bradley, 5-9 point guard from Timberview High in Grand Prairie, Texas; and Chayla Cheadle, 6-foot guard from Rock Bridge High in Columbia, Mo.

“It’s a group that has tremendous athleticism and ability to score,” Henrickson said.

Aldridge is Premier Basketball Report’s 58th-ranked player. ESPN’s Hoopgurlz.com ranks Aldridge as the 59th-best point guard.

Bradley is ranked as the 11th-best point guard by Collegiate Basketball Report and the 21st-best recruit by ProspectsNation.com.

ProspectsNation ranked Cheadle as its 24th-best wing.

“As a group, there’s a lot of excitement, energy, talent and skill,” Henrickson said. “They have a lot of wins amongst this group of three.”
