KU School of Music: KU Wind Ensemble Veterans Tribute Concert, 3 p.m., Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, 1601 Broadway, Kansas City, Mo.

Annual Veterans Gala: Tribute to the veterans and USO-style gala, 6 p.m., Dole Institute, 2350 Petefish Drive (everyone welcome; reservations required, 864-4900).

Monday

Breakfast: Free breakfast buffet for all veterans, 7-11 a.m., Hy-Vee, 3504 Clinton Pkwy.

Swim: Patrons with valid U.S. military ID swim free, 10 a.m.-8:45 p.m., Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive

Downtown Leavenworth parade: 10:30 a.m. (with fly-over tribute at 11 a.m.) followed by lunch at the Heritage Center, 109 Delaware St., Leavenworth. Lunch is free for veterans; $5/person for general public.

Veterans Day Open House and Workout of the Day: 6-9 p.m., CrossFit Lawrence, 701 E 22nd St.

Ottawa Veterans Day Celebration: Closing ceremony, 7-8 p.m., Applebee’s, 2340 S. Oak St., Ottawa.
