A 21-year-old Lawrence man was booked into Douglas County Jail on Tuesday on suspicion of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lawrence police arrested Bryant Isaac Monroe Hubbard at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday in 1300 block of East 16th Street after Hubbard allegedly made off with a woman’s Chevy Blazer following an argument, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman.

McKinley said that after an argument between several people, the victim noticed that the keys to her vehicle were missing from a nearby table and that her red Chevy Blazer was missing from outside the home.

Police located the vehicle parked a few blocks away and two suspects walking in the area. McKinley said both suspects were arrested.

Hubbard was later released on a $2,500 bond.
