The word used was "officials", not "officers", therefore your attempted distinction is irrelevant.

No, actually I didn't. Apologies for the critique. Just too accustomed to your 24/7/365 rants about all things regarding law enforcement, I guess.

Posts should be closed on all fatality or life threatening accidents. Not even condolences are appropriate from the anonymous contributors to the LJW

Perhaps you should write a letter to the editor about this issue rather than doing the very thing you advocate against. Condolences are appropriate no matter the source or place. Would you have all the floral tributes and messages removed from the scene of a tragedy simply because they were anonymous?

Don't want to post then don't post or read the comments. Very simple to do without trying to impose your pov on others.

Last Wednesday's printed letters to the editor briefly appeared online, then disappeared, never to return--this is one of the hazards of online journalism. I sent a query in asking what happened to them, and never got a reply. Intentional or incompetent? The outcome is the same.....

There's a bridge east of the East Lawrence exit (closer to the exit than the rest area) that's really wavy; I wonder if that's where he lost control? The lane closest to the barrier is the worst.

Picture I saw on 41 was more on the new Kaw River bridge. just past the overhead sign for 1 mile to 202 exit if that helps.

The online LJW is free---if you were paying for it, complaints would be in order. Otherwise---
