City moves egg hunt event in anticipation of rainy weather

The threat of inclement weather has caused the city of Lawrence to move its Easter egg hunts scheduled for Saturday.

The city’s longtime Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza is being moved indoors to the two Hy-Vee Food and Drug Stores in the city at 3504 Clinton Parkway and 4000 W. Sixth St. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The event is free to children ages 3 to 12. Children who participate will receive a goodie bag.

Children who want to see an Easter bunny should be at the Clinton Parkway store from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. or the Sixth Street store from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
