KU tennis tops Georgia Southern

? Kansas University’s women’s tennis blanked Georgia Southern, 4-0, Thursday. The shutout victory improved KU’s dual match record to 7-3.

For the second straight day, the Jayhawks took the doubles point by claiming wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Dylan Windom and Maria Jose Cardona registered an 8-1 win over Georgia Southern’s Paolo Garrido and Mary Phillips Smith at No. 1, while Paulina Los and Maria Belen Ludueña defeated GSU’s Natalie Maffett and Stephi Woods, 8-6, at No. 2.

Jordana Klein and Caitlin Kitchen knocked off the KU duo of Victoria Khanevskaya and Anastasija Trubica, 8-7, at No. 3, but the Jayhawks already had claimed the doubles point on their way to an early 1-0 lead in the match.
