Kansas baseball tops TCU, 8-4

? Kansas University’s baseball team put together two three-run innings early and held on to top TCU, 8-4, on Saturday at Lupton Stadium.

Kansas (12-6 overall, 1-1 Big 12) got another multi-hit game from sophomore Michael Suiter, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Sophomore starter Wes Benjamin picked up the win for the Jayhawks despite a rough three-run inning of his own. He allowed seven hits and four runs in six innings, while striking out four. Robert Kahana (two innings) and Jordan Piche’ (one inning) didn’t allow a base-runner in closing out the game.

The Jayhawks look to clinch the series against the Horned Frogs at 1 p.m. today. The game will be televised on Fox College Sports Atlantic (Knology cable channel 144).
