Kansas divers finish season at NCAA Zone

? Kansas University senior diver Christy Cash placed a career-best 12th in the platform event on Wednesday at the NCAA Zone Championships.

Cash was joined by junior teammate Alyssa Golden (28th place) and freshman Meredith Brownell (30th) in their final event of the season.

“From what we have gone through this year and how we started out at the beginning of the year, things have really come together,” KU diving coach Eric Elliott said. “Especially for the freshman that don’t really know what to expect, they exceeded my expectations. I think the base is there now to move forward for next year. We are definitely going to miss Christy (Cash) next year, but I think Alyssa (Golden) is right on the verge of turning that corner of getting her confidence and competing well in meets.”
