A 49-year-old Meriden man was injured in a one-vehicle ATV accident Friday just before 9 p.m.

Adam Kern was southbound on Village Greens Road in Meriden, Jefferson County, when he lost control of the 2000 Honda Recon and overturned, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The vehicle landed on top of him.

Kern was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the patrol said. He was taken to Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka.

No details about his current condition were available Saturday.
