Network service restored for AT&T customers, say staff at 23rd Street store

AT&T customers who found their phone service out of order this morning should restart their phones this afternoon, say staff at the telecommunication company’s store at 520 West 23rd St. With the restart, they said, the phones should be successfully connected to the network again.

Chris Lester, a spokesman for AT&T, said the company had problems with its 3G wireless network across Kansas and Missouri Thursday morning. Staff at the Lawrence store said those problems lasted from about 9 a.m. to noon and that the problem has been solved.
