Seabury girls cruise

Bishop Seabury 46, University Academy 27

Alexa Gaumer made her first four shots of the game and scored 10 of Seabury’s first 12 points, as the Seahawks built a 17-2 first-quarter lead in a high school girls basketball victory over University Academy on Friday night.

Courtney Hoag had eight blocks, and Mariah Smith had four assists.

Gaumer finished with 18 points to lead the Seahawks, Hoag added nine points, and Smith scored seven points. Emma Stilgenbauer added five points.

Seabury (3-4) plays on Monday against De Soto at the Tonganoxie Invitational.


University Academy 43, Bishop Seabury 35

Seabury fell to 0-7 this season. The Seahawks play Blue Valley Southwest at the Tonganoxie Invitational on Tuesday night.
