Area roundup: Tonganoxie top Turner in overtime

Tonganoxie 57, KC Turner 51, OT

Kansas City, Kan. — Tonganoxie’s John Lean drilled a three-pointer to make it a one-point game with 13.7 seconds remaining. After a free throw by Turner’s De’Andre Fenrick, Lean was fouled on his way to the basket and sunk two free throws to force overtime at 45-45.

Tonganoxie (5-3) outscored Turner (0-8) 12-6 in overtime.

Lean led all scorers with 21 points.

Perry-Lecompton 37, Hiawatha 18

Perry — Perry-Lecompton held Hiawatha to six points in the first half.

Perry-Lecompton (2-7) plays Tuesday vs. Wellsville in the Baldwin tournament.

Ottawa 70, Eudora 27

Ottawa — Semi Ojeleye scored 40 points, and Ottawa remained undefeated.

Ottawa (10-0) will play Platte County on Tuesday in the Basehor tournament.

Baldwin City — Baldwin had three players in double figures and two more with eight points.

Elwood — Ten players scored for Riverside. Seth Steward led Oskaloosa with 10 points.

Kansas City, Kan. — Jenny Whitledge scored 15 points, as Tonganoxie rolled.

Tonganoxie hosts Eudora on Tuesday.

Baldwin 43, Spring Hill 33

Baldwin City — Kailyn Smith led Baldwin (7-2) with 15 points.
