Veritas basketball swept

Eudora — Maddie Bennett led Veritas with 12 points, but the Eagles dropped a 29-24 high school girls basketball decision Friday to Marais des Cygnes.

Veritas (9-13) closes out the regular season on Friday at home against Flinthills Christian.

Marais des Cygnes 58, Veritas boys 35

Marais des Cygnes improved to 17-1.

Thomas Bachert led Veritas (15-6) with nine points, Caleb Holland scored eight, and Micah Edmondson and Andrew Currier added seven points apiece for the Eagles.
