Age: 27 1/2

Relationship status: Single/looking

Hometown: McPherson

Time in Lawrence: Nine years

Occupation: I work with kids at an elementary school.

Dream job: My dream job is a children’s book illustrator.

What were you doing when scouted? I was shopping for cheap clothes that fit in my nonprofit job price range.

Describe your style: Not a lot of bells and whistles — a lot of classic styles like black jackets with collars, hoodies, military style shoulder jackets, boots, straight leg jeans, and I’m a sneaker fan. Nothing clashy, just very clean.

Fashion trends you love: Big combat boots and scarves.

Fashion trends you hate: Trends that take away from actually seeing the person who is actually wearing the clothes.

Fashion influences: Bits and pieces of ordinary people’s fashions influence me. It’s random stuff like the way they did their hair, their shoes or a certain ring that they are wearing. The general attitude of a person plays into it as well.

What would you like to see more of in Lawrence? I would like to see more winking.

Less of? Spray tans.

Tattoos or piercings? I have both my ears pierced. I also have a Navajo figure tattoo on my back between my shoulder blades

Who do people say you look like? Some people say I look like John Legend. However, someone recently told me that I look like a guy on “Top Chef.” I haven’t seen that show yet.

Tell us a secret … I secretly sometimes watch reality TV. Don’t tell anyone.
