Kansas University senior horizontal jumper Andrea Geubelle earned another weekly honor Wednesday.

Geubelle, who was named the Div. I National Athlete of the week Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), on Wednesday was named the Big 12’s Female Athlete of the Week.

Geubelle won the long jump at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City over the weekend with a school- and meet-record and nation-leading mark of 6.69 meters (21 feet, 11 1/2 inches).

Her mark is just a quarter-of-an-inch shy of the collegiate all-time top-10 performers list and broke the previous Kansas indoor record by 11 inches. Hers is the longest jump in the nation this season by 11 inches and ranks her seventh in the world in 2013. She also owns the No. 2 spot on the Div. I triple-jump performance list.
