• Douglas County Bank has promoted four staff members: Lisa Stuhlman to vice president, cashier and chief financial officer; Michelle Jennings to assistant vice president of loan services; Michael Schumacher to account services officer; and Matt Wedan to Internet banking officer. In addition, the bank recognized 10 employees for their years of service: Danette Umholtz, vice president of account services, 30 years; Cathy Brittain, administrative assistant of loan processing, and Ernesto Hodison, vice president of loan services, both 15 years; Schumacher, 10 years; Rachel Mixon, manager of the Eudora branch, Erin Albert, manager of the Orchards branch, and Jennings, five years; and Becca Booth, marketing manager, Linda Deibert, customer service representative and teller, and Caleb Harvey, financial services representative, three years.

• Jeffrey C. Randall, Amy Hecker and Amy Vestal, employees at OrthoKansas LLC recently returned from a medical mission trip to Piura, Peru. During the trip, the team treated 87 patients. During four days of clinic, they provided 98 cortisone injections as well as provided multivitamins, Tylenol and other medications. The team also assisted in building homes, community projects and provided clothing and supplies to members of the community. Dr. Randall’s son, Hogan, a junior at Washington University in St. Louis who is studying Spanish and pre-medicine, served as the medical team’s translator.
