Lawrence police to increase enforcement during New Year’s Eve
The Lawrence Police Department will increase enforcement beginning at 9 p.m. Tuesday for the New Year’s holiday. The department reminds residents to make safe transportation arrangements before celebrating the holiday with alcohol, said police department spokeswoman Kim Murphree.
Alcohol-impaired individuals in need of a ride home may call Tipsy Taxi at 785-842-8294 between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday.
