Kansas-Missouri border war film to screen at Liberty Hall
The film “Road to Valhalla,” telling the story of the Kansas-Missouri border war, its legacy and its effects after the war, especially in Kansas, from 1861 to 1865, will have a screening at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at Liberty Hall.
Lawrence resident and World War II veteran Glen Woodmancy plays a Civil War veteran in the film.
Directed by Ken Spurgeon, “Valhalla” was produced by Lone Chimney Films, a company dedicated to bringing Kansas history to life. Founded in 2003, Lone Chimney Films has released three full-length documentaries to date.
