Lawrence man arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, intimidation charges after lengthy dispute
Lawrence police arrested a 46-year-old Lawrence man Thursday on suspicion of aggravated assault, intimidating a witness/victim, domestic battery and criminal restraint after a lengthy dispute in North Lawrence.
William Michael Robinson was booked into Douglas County Jail Thursday where he remains on no bond.
Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman, said Lawrence police responded to a report of a domestic battery in North Lawrence on Thursday after a victim said that they had been battered repeatedly by an individual with whom they have a domestic relationship.
McKinley said the incident lasted “an extended period of time,” during which Robinson threatened the victim with a knife and prevented the victim from calling police.
