Baldwin City ? Kansas University throwers won three events Saturday at the Wildcat Open at Baker University.

Senior Alena Krechyk posted a season best in the hammer throw (67.89 meters, or 222 feet, 9 inches), while sophomore Jonathan Miller turned in a career best in the discus (54.47 meters, or 178-8).

And freshman Anastasiya Muchkayev won the women’s discus in 49.98 meters (164-0).

Also, Kansas’ Brian Katzfey won the long jump at 6.85 meters, or 22-53/4.
