Lawrence man punched in face by stranger on Massachusetts Street
A 26-year-old Lawrence man reported to police that he was punched in the face by an unidentified man in the 1000 block of Massachusetts about 2:30 a.m. Friday morning, said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman.
The punch followed an argument that started when the unidentified man wanted to speak with a 21-year-old woman who was with the victim, McKinley said. The victim suffered injuries to his face but declined medical treatment. Police have not identified a suspect, and the attacker had left the scene before officers arrived.
