Jessica Ferguson scored the Firebirds’ first goal, assisted by Maddie Dieker. Hadyn Hutchison scored the other goal.

Free State goalkeeper Annie Hierl had the shutout.

“We put a couple of things together,” FSHS coach Kelly Barah said, “and we’re looking to continue to build on those things.”

Free State (4-3) hosts Leavenworth on Thursday.
