Auditions are coming up for the Lawrence Arts Center’s October Halloween musical thriller production of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.”

Available audition slots are 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon Saturday at the Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St. Callbacks will be at 2 p.m. To set up an audition, call 843-2787.

“Sweeney Todd” opens Oct. 25 at the Arts Center with a total of seven shows, including one on Halloween night. Rehearsals begin Oct. 7.

This professional production directed by Ric Averill will feature a new incarnation of the Free State Liberation Orchestra under the musical direction of Patty Ahern. Musicians interested in playing with the orchestra should call Averill at 843-2787.
