Teen, young adult actors sought for feature film and miniseries

LightLyre Films is looking for teens and young adults with acting experience to work on several projects the company will shoot this spring and summer in Lawrence.

Auditions for actors will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at LightLyre Studios, 731 New Hampshire St. Auditioners should call 856-0982 to reserve an audition time.

Shooting of the feature teen drama “Heart Enough” will be the focus of LightLyre’s Summer Film Academy, July 8 through Aug. 9. Internship, crew and acting opportunities are available for the film, which tells the story of a young woman who uses courage and creativity to alter the culture of bullying at her school.

LightLyre also has positions available for its teen drama miniseries, “A Band Apart,” filming late May through June. Set in the school year 2016-17, the story follows the complex lives and relationships of 15 small-town teens as they deal with the looming prospect of political turmoil amidst their own personal troubles.
