Baker football falls to MidAmerica Nazarene, 49-20

— No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene defeated No. 13 Baker, 49-20. The Wildcats lost for the second week in a row to a ranked foe.

MidAmerica Nazarene has won 14 straight over the Wildcats.

Baker (4-2, 3-2) took an early 7-0 lead on a 48-yard pass from Jake Morse to Jake Green with 10:32 left in the first quarter.

Then the Pioneers rattled off 35 straight points. Baker did not score again until the third quarter on a seven-yard pass from Morse to Andrew Augsburger with 12:28 left.

The Pioneers ran for 263 yards and threw for 227 for a total yardage of 490.

Baker returns home Saturday to play Avila for homecoming at 2 p.m.
