Baldwin City ? Ninth-ranked Baker University mounted a 14-point comeback in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t overcome its early struggles in a 31-17 football loss to No. 5 Missouri Valley on Saturday at Liston Stadium.

The Vikings led their NAIA rivals 31-3 entering the final quarter before running back Dillon Baxter ran in a touchdown with 11:47 left. Baker forced a fumble a minute later and scored with seven minutes left.

The Wildcats play No. 13 Mid-America Nazarene on Saturday at the Olathe District Activities Center.
