Veritas wins thriller, 64-56

? Andrew Harvey scored on a 20-yard run to break a tie with 32 seconds left, and Veritas defeated Blue Valley Randolph, 64-56, on Friday night in high school football.

After BV Randolph tied the game with 1:27 remaining, Veritas needed less than a minute to score the winning touchdown.

Harvey recovered a BV Randolph fumble with nine seconds left to secure the victory.

“It was a great win,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “It was a very exciting and fun game to be a part of.

“The guys were real warriors tonight. We have a lot of guys banged up, but they just played through it.”

Andrew Harvey gained 190 yards on 19 carries for Veritas, and Elijah Harvey gained 165 yards on 27 carries.

Veritas (3-1) will entertain St. John’s Military on Friday.
