Lawrence police respond to two burglary reports
Two residential burglaries were reported early Tuesday morning, according to police. Here are the details:
• A neighbor reported hearing glass breaking at a residence in the 1700 block of Ohio Street about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The neighbor saw a suspect carrying a television out of the home. Police determined that the suspect used a rock to break glass and gain access to the home. By the time police arrived, the suspect had fled and left the television in a nearby trash receptacle. No one was home at the time of the break-in.
• About 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, police received a call about a home burglary in progress in the 1000 block of Tennessee Street. The resident reported hearing someone breaking in downstairs. When police arrived, the suspect had fled but police observed broken glass from a door.
