Lawrence police respond to two burglary reports

September 18, 2012

Two residential burglaries were reported early Tuesday morning, according to police. Here are the details:

• A neighbor reported hearing glass breaking at a residence in the 1700 block of Ohio Street about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. The neighbor saw a suspect carrying a television out of the home. Police determined that the suspect used a rock to break glass and gain access to the home. By the time police arrived, the suspect had fled and left the television in a nearby trash receptacle. No one was home at the time of the break-in.

• About 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, police received a call about a home burglary in progress in the 1000 block of Tennessee Street. The resident reported hearing someone breaking in downstairs. When police arrived, the suspect had fled but police observed broken glass from a door.

I must admit i am so very suprised that that some ppl havent been shot yet. With so many ppl having guns at home it's just a matter of time! The truth of the matter is when the blood starts spilling I imagine this activity may slow a touch. Maybe?

But bullets are expensive, and we already pay for the police.
