KU’s Osher Institute to expand to Topeka
Leaders at Kansas University and Washburn University plan to sign an agreement Wednesday to offer classes in Topeka for people 50 or older.
KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little and Washburn President Jerry Farley are scheduled to sign the agreement Wednesday morning on the Washburn campus.
The planned courses would be offered through the KU Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, which has offered classes in Lawrence since 2004 and has extended its offerings to the Kansas City area, Manhattan, Hutchinson, Ottawa and other cities in Kansas, as well as Liberty, Mo.
The institute’s course topics include arts, history, philosophy, culture, health and more.
