Seabury tweaks football schedule

Bishop Seabury Academy played its first football game in almost three full years last week. The 38-0 loss at Topeka Cair Paravel hasn’t deterred the Seahawks from adding to this season’s schedule.

Seabury originally had a road game scheduled for today against St. Mary’s Academy, but coach Aaron Combs and athletic director Eric Nelson worked with St. Mary’s to move that game to Oct. 8.

Instead of having an open week, Seabury looked to add a game and found a willing partner in Independence Home School. That game will be the Seahawks’ home opener, and kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday.
