KU soccer lands 11 on Academic All-Big 12 teams

Eleven members of the Kansas University soccer team earned spots on the Academic All-Big 12 teams, the conference announced Tuesday.

KU seniors Amy Grow and Shelby Williamson were named to the list for the third year in a row. Grow is a three-time first-team selection, and Williamson joined her teammate on the top list this year after spending the previous two on the second team.

Other Jayhawks on the first team: juniors Madie Hillis and Caroline Castor (both two-time selections), seniors Nichole Chrisopulos and Sarah Robbins, junior Shannon Renner, and sophomores Jamie Fletcher, Caroline Van Slambrouck and Hayley Yearout.

In addition, senior Cassie Dickerson was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.

Kansas (10-7-2) will play Texas Tech at the Big 12 Soccer Championship at 2 p.m. today in San Antonio.
