An armed robbery was reported at the Grove Apartments, 4301 W. 24th Place, on Monday night. Lawrence police were dispatched about 10:40 p.m.
Three men with guns forced their way into an apartment, ordered the residents to the ground, and demanded items from the victims, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley.
The suspects were not apprehended at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

Listening to scanner. Suspects were 2 black males/2 white males. all armed. And yes Drugs in the apartment seemed to be what they were looking for. Drug dealers seem to love the new gated communities. Police had to walk in because their code couldn't open the gate!
