Brownback, others hitting the road for Republican votes

? Gov. Sam Brownback, U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins, R-Topeka, and others will hit the road this week to get out the vote for Republican candidates.

The “Road Map for Growth” tour will start at 8 a.m. Thursday in Topeka and head to Leawood, Fort Scott, Frontenac, Pittsburg, Columbus and Independence.

Others on the trip will be Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, and Kansas Republican Party Chairwoman Amanda Adkins.

On Friday, the tour stops in Arkansas City, Winfield, Wichita, Hays and Salina.

Weather permitting, Brownback and some others will travel by motorcycle.

The trip is being funded by campaigns or the state GOP, officials said.
