A 24-year-old Lawrence man accused of driving two children to school in April while intoxicated pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving under the influence, first offense.

Eric L. Worcester was arrested April 24 after police pulled him over for a stop-sign violation in the 1600 block of University Drive, according to police. Upon investigation, police determined Worcester was intoxicated while driving two children, ages 6 and 8, to school.

Worcester had originally also been charged with two counts of endangering a child and failing to observe a stop sign, but those charges were dropped.
