Pacific Palisades, Calif. — Kansas University senior Monica Pezzotti and junior Dylan Windom lost their first tennis doubles match on Tuesday at the ITA/Riviera All-American Championships.
Pezzotti and Windom fell, 8-6, to DePaul’s Jasmin Kling and Patricia Fargas in the qualifying round of the tournament and will play again today in the consolation draw.
The Jayhawks, ranked No. 25 nationally, were only the second KU athletes to qualify for the tournament since 1990. Last year, Windom and Ekaterina Morozova won three matches and advanced to the main draw quarterfinals.
